UCS Hawk Parents,
I hope this letter finds you healthy and safe as we prepare for a reopening of school. In-person instruction will resume on November 2, 2020 for students returning to school. For students continuing with distance learning please refer to your letter from the district office which contains information and details to assist you in this process.
I have included some information to help you prepare for returning to campus. Please review this information and let us know if you have any questions not answered. Our office is open every school day from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. I can also be reached via email at ccamarena@myluesd.net .
IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
Early-out Monday: 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. (Monday)
Regular School Hours: 8:00 a.m. to 2:40 p.m. (Tuesday thru Friday)
Buses: The boundaries for bus service have been reduced to only outlying areas.
Buses: Available stops currently include Iona/Golf Links and Belle Haven (subject to change).
Only students allowed on the campus. No volunteers.
Students will be kept in grade-level cohort groups throughout the school day.
Confirm and complete in Aeries Parent Portal the “Student Required Entry From” and “Parent/Guardian Daily COVID-19 Health Screening Guide”.
Students follow signs for ENTRY and EXIT to campus.
Staff will check student temperatures upon arrival to school.
Students not meeting daily COVID-19 health screening guidelines should not attend school until cleared to do so.
Students are assigned an iPad to take to/from school every day to use for instruction.
Wear a face covering at all times - practice social distancing.
Students will carry all their belongings in a bag or backpack.
Water faucets are turned off. Students should carry their own water bottles for school.
Please use our walk-up window for office visitors.
Appointments for office by phone or Zoom meeting by arrangement.
