Liberty Middle School

This is just a reminder that there is no school tomorrow, Friday, March 15th. Next week, we start our State Interim Testing for Math. Please make sure your student has a charged chromebook for testing in the morning. Also, we have dress up week before spring break. Remember that Monday, March 18th, is NOT an early out day, but Friday, March 22, is an early release day for spring break.

Congratulations to all three concert bands at Liberty Middle School. The Red, White, and Blue bands travelled to Reedley High School on Tuesday and Wednesday, March 12-13th, to perform in the CMEA Concert Band Festival. The White and Blue Bands both received an excellent rating in both their prepared performance and sight reading. The Red Band received a Unanimous Superior rating by receiving a superior rating in both their performance and sight reading. This is the highest rating bands can receive at a festival. The bands (158 students) all represented Liberty Middle School and the LUESD with pride.

Thank you to our real estate agents, Debra White and Maureen Lacey, who were able to come today and present about their career to our Liberty students. The students learned so much about the profession.

This is just a reminder that graduation pictures are coming up next week for 8th grade students on Thursday, March 21. Students will be wearing a loaner gown and will be taking their photos during their regularly scheduled PE classes. A few weeks after pictures are taken, students will be given proof and purchasing information.

Thank you to all the parents, guardians, staff, and students that helped make our pancake breakfast a success. Our Liberty Bands, Choir, Winter Percussion, and Winterguard did an excellent job! We look forward to this event every year and can't thank everyone for their hard work.

We are so excited for our LUESD Pancake breakfast this Saturday, March 9th. We hope you can join us for this amazing event. All the proceeds go directly to our music programs at Liberty and throughout the district. We appreciate all the continued support of our Lemoore community.

Just a reminder, we are on slightly different schedules for next week: March 11-18. Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday are early release days. Thursday is a regular school day, and there is no school for students on Friday.

Leilani Irving earned a pizza lunch with Mrs Revious. She invited her friends Jasen Zarate, Somaya Rainey, and Destiny Jimenez to join her. Leilani is a helpful and kind student. We are so proud of her. Congratulations

The Superintendent's Student Advisory Council is a unique opportunity for our Liberty Middle School Lemoore students to share feedback, experiences, and perspectives on various topics affecting our schools with our superintendent, Mrs Cheryl Hunt. She believes elevating student voice is critical to shaping conversations about education and youth development. Thank you to our students for engaging in these important discussions.

Our Liberty spelling bee students attended the Kings County Spelling Bee yesterday. We are so proud of their hard work. Thank you for representing Liberty.

Liberty Baseball practice is canceled today, Friday, March 1st. We apologize for the inconvenience.

LHS will still accept AVID applications to the LHS (Lemoore High School) front office before March 8, 2024. Once they receive those applications, they will set up a time to attend an interview. LHS will notify families of their AVID acceptance by March 22, 2024.

What an amazing Patriot Rally this morning. Thank you to the staff, students, and ASB, who helped make it a success.

We are having our Patriot Rally tomorrow. We encourage everyone to get into the Liberty Patriot Spirit and wear Staff - red 7th - white 8th - blue Thank you to ASB and the Liberty staff for working so hard to put this event together.

CJ Johnson earned a pizza lunch with Mrs Endo and Mrs Revious today. He invited Ezziah Cervantez, Ruben Pasion, and Nathaniel Rebolo to join him. We are so proud of all his hard work this year. Congratulations!

Lemoore High School Cheer Tryouts will be starting next month. If your 8th grade student is interested, please make sure to get an application from the LHS front office, starting March 1st. Save the Dates: clinics start on the March 18-19, with Tryouts on the 22.

If your 8th grade Liberty student was interested in AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) program at Lemoore High School, please make sure that the application is turned in to the Liberty Middle School office, by Friday, February 23. AVID interviews will take place on Monday, February 26, 2024 from 5:30p-7:00p at Lemoore High School, Room C3.

We ended Kindness Week with Jersey Day. We hope everyone has a great three day weekend. We will see our Patriots back on Tuesday, February 20th.

This is just a reminder that there is no school this upcoming Monday, February 19th, in observance of Presidents' Day. School resumes on Tuesday, February 20th.
