We celebrated the incredible effort and teamwork of our cross country and soccer teams this morning. Our teams showed unmatched dedication, teamwork, and drive, making this season one to remember. Today was Bright Colors Day for Kindness Week, and the school was filled with vibrant colors and smiles! It was a fantastic way to spread joy and show our colorful spirits. Tomorrow, Wednesday, February 12th, get ready for Twin Day, where you can team up with a friend to celebrate friendship and kindness.

Back in December, we had a few students that auditioned for the Tulare Kings County Music Educators Association honor band. It's Kindness Week at Liberty. Today we wore our favorite jerseys to show team spirit and unity. Tomorrow, Tuesday, February 11th, let's brighten things up with Bright Colors Day. Kindness is key this week and every day, so spread positivity and joy everywhere on campus.

This is just a reminder that the Lemoore High School Mandatory Parent night is coming up this Monday, February 10th, at 5 p.m., at the Lemoore High School event center. 8th graders should be in attendance with their parent/guardian.

Thank you to the Lemoore High School NJROTC cadets and Chief Myers for visiting our campus this morning, and sharing your valuable experience with us. Your dedication, leadership, and commitment to service truly inspired our students. We hope some of them will become future NJROTC members.

We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to our Lemoore Union Elementary School District board members for taking time to visit Liberty, yesterday. They were able to see firsthand how our professional learning communities (PLCs) collaborate to enhance teaching and student success. We appreciate the support and look forward to the continued collaboration in making our school community even stronger.

The Liberty Jazz Band performed at the Mid Valley Jazz Festival yesterday hosted at Live Oak Middle School in Tulare. The band had a great performance featuring 12 of the students as soloists. They received 81, 82, and 83 by their judges, which included the Director of Jazz at Fresno City College, Paul Lucckesi, and the arrangers of one of their pieces, guitarist Mike Dana. They were able to attend a feedback session, improvisation class, and sightreading clinic, where they worked with retired Fresno city college music professors Dale Engstrom and Larry Honda, and retired Hanford West High School director, Lisa Butts. The students were also able to watch the Fresno State Jazz Orchestra perform at the Noon Concert. Great job, Liberty Jazz Band! Thank you to the parents/guardians who attended our Student of the Month celebration. They were each chosen by their Advisory teacher for their dependablilty. These students consistently show up, do their best, and can be counted on by their peers and teachers alike. Congratulations, Patriots!

Our Liberty ASB is kicking Kindness Week off with a Movie Night on Friday, February 7th. All Liberty students are welcomed to attend. Students may even change into Pjs after school for the event.

Our Liberty 7th grade students learned about the world of molecules, atoms, and bonds, this past week. Through this hands on lab, students explored the fundamental building blocks of matter and learned how atoms combined to form molecules. Using models, students gained a deeper understanding of atomic structure, molecular structure, and the conservation of mass.

The Liberty Jazz band is gearing up for the Mid Valley Jazz Band Festival, at Live Oak Middle School in Tulare. These young musicians show up every morning before school starts, putting in the extra effort to be part of the jazz band. As the first festival of the season approaches, they are fine tuning their performances and working together as a team. Good luck, Patriots!

It is School Counseling Week and we would love to thank our team here at Liberty. Thank you to Mrs. Endo, Ms. Mathers, and Mr. Valadez for their dedication, care, and support they provide every day. You are there for our Patriots through their triumphs and challenges, helping them navigate the ups and downs of middle school life. We have our Kindness Week coming up on February 10-14. There will be activities during the week promoting acts of kindness and dress up days.

We are so excited to welcome six new paraprofessionals to our Liberty Staff. These new team members are here to provide additional support to our Patriots, so that everyone has the resources they need to succeed and thrive. We are so thankful for the extra help and expertise they bring, as we work together to ensure all students learn at high levels and show exceptional character.

Last night was our final HOME wrestling match. We still have two AWAY matches left in the wrestling season, next week. A huge thank you to everyone who came out to support us, especially the parents/guardians who have been there every step of the way. A special thank you to Coach Moskowitz and Coach Cardenas for their guidance and hard work. To our Liberty wrestlers, we appreciate your incredible effort and determination. It's been a great season.

Yesterday night, our A Girls Basketball team and Coach Senior had an exciting opportunity to attend a Lemoore High School Varsity basketball game at Youth Night. They got a chance to meet the players and coach up close and watch an action-packed game as well. It was an inspiring experience. It gave the younger students a glimpse into what it takes to be a part of a high school sports team and helped to foster a sense of community between our schools.
