What a great performance by our volleyball teams in their final home game of the season, yesterday. A big thank you to all the families who came out to support and cheer on our 8th graders; it meant a lot to the team.
We’re excited to announce that the team has qualified for the playoffs! The 1st round will take place on Monday, October 6th, at John Muir in Corcoran, with Liberty playing against Pioneer. Game start time is 3pm.
Let’s go, Liberty!

What an outstanding performance by our Cross Country team on Wednesday, October 1st. Our athletes showed grit, determination, and heart on the course. Alfredo Cruz Rojas had an incredible race, finishing 3rd out of 73 boys, and Laylanie Lopez ran strong to earn 7th place out of 65 girls.
We’re so proud of their hard work, perseverance, and the way they represented Liberty with PRIDE. Great job to all of our runners for giving it their all!
The team is back in action next week on Wednesday, October 8th at Rafer Johnson in Kingsburg.

Today is National Custodian Day, and we would like to acknowledge the unsung heroes of our Liberty campus. From early mornings to late evenings, they work tirelessly to keep our school clean, safe, and shining bright.
We are so grateful for the hard work and dedication of Mrs. Veronica Lopez, Mrs. Sonia Echeverria, Mr. Chris Escobedo, and Mr. Eric Casarez. Their care and attention to detail create a welcoming environment where students and staff can thrive. We also want to give a big thank you to our amazing LUESD substitute custodians: Mr. Tony Parker, Mr. Mario Torres, and Mrs. Gloria DelaTorre, for stepping in with heart and commitment whenever they’re needed.

Our Minion rally was a huge success. It brought plenty of energy, excitement, and laughter to campus.
The event featured a great performance by our cheerleaders, a fun basketball game, and a creative twist with Minion Tic-Tac-Toe. Students also enjoyed participating in teacher and movie trivia, as well as an exciting game of dodgeball.
One of the highlights of the day was a surprise staff dance and dance off, which even included our Assistant Principals. The students had an amazing time, and the rally was a perfect way to build school spirit and start the year on a high note.
We’re looking forward to many more great moments this year! Great job, ASB.

Our Liberty Fall Book Fair has officially started! Mrs. Yang kicked things off with a Goosebumps themed art contest, and we are excited to announce that Yaretzi Sandoval is our winner. Her artwork was selected by our LUESD librarians. She received a Goosebumps coloring book and $40 to spend at the fair.
The Book Fair is open during break, lunch, and after school during Parent Teacher Conferences (Monday through Thursday: after school until 5pm; Friday: afterschool until 3pm). Thank you for your continued support; every purchase helps us add more books to our media center for students to enjoy.

At the beginning of the year, each student created a banner representing who they are including their likes, dislikes, and what makes them unique. These beautiful banners now hang proudly in our school cafeteria, reminding us every day that every student matters. We love having each of them here, because when students show up, they grow, learn, and succeed. Every day makes a difference.

Next week, Friday, September 26th, is our first rally of the school year. Our students are encouraged to wear their minion gear for our "One in a Minion" rally.

Our Liberty 7th graders had a fun and engaging lab activity today where they explored the evidence of chemical reactions. After putting on their safety goggles, students investigated two classic experiments steel wool with a battery and baking soda with vinegar
Students carefully observed each reaction and noted any changes they could see, hear, or smell as evidence that a chemical reaction had taken place. It was a great opportunity for them to apply their understanding of science in a hands on and memorable way!

We are just one month away from our Liberty Trick or Treat Community Night on October 17th!
As we prepare for this fun event, we are asking for candy donations. The next time you're buying a bag of candy, consider picking up an extra one to donate. We are collecting individually wrapped candies to hand out at the event.
Donations can be dropped off at the Liberty front office.
