Foggy day schedule for today, Friday, January 16th, has been updated to Plan B. Buses to school are cancelled, but will transport students home at the end of the school day. Although buses are canceled, classes will still begin at 9am and end at 3pm.

Our final home wrestling match of the season takes place Thursday, January 22, and we will be recognizing our outstanding 8th graders on the Liberty Wrestling Team. Join us as they take the mat at home one last time. Let’s pack the stands, show our pride, and send our 8th graders off with the energy and support they deserve.

Just a reminder that there is no school on Monday, January 19th in observance of MLK Jr. Day. School resumes on Tuesday, January 20th. January 20th will also be our first home basketball game, with only our A teams playing. We hope you can join us. Good luck, Patriots!

Our 8th grade students will be taking the Lemoore High School ELA placement test tomorrow, January 13th, in student's regularly scheduled ELA class. Please make sure your student has a charged chromebook for testing.

Congratulations to our Liberty Spelling Bee Representatives! Happy Holidays from all of us at Liberty Middle School. We hope your Winter Break is filled with rest, laughter, and meaningful time with family and friends, as well as a joyful celebration of the New Year. We can’t wait to welcome back our amazing Patriots on Monday, January 12.

Thank you to ASB for decorating and coordinating our Winter Rally to kick off winter break for our students. Our Jazz Band delivered a great performance, and the dodgeball game between our 7th and 8th grade teachers was especially entertaining. Stacking boxes proved to be quite the challenge, and students enjoyed holiday trivia/games, scooter races, and pin the nose on the reindeer.

What a great way to end the week before winter break. Our students showed their holiday spirit by wearing festive outfits and enjoying a wonderful day filled with holiday music and lunch outside. We were even lucky enough to have the sun come out to make the day extra special. We hope everyone had a great time and wish our students and families a joyful start to winter break.

Today was a great Pajama Day at school. It was wonderful to see so many students participate and bring such positive energy to campus. Pajama Day is always a favorite and truly enjoyed by all. Tomorrow is an early release day as we head into winter break. Students are encouraged to wear their holiday gear as we wrap up the year with a schoolwide spirit rally.

Over 300 students applied to be part of the TKMEA Honor Band this year, and we are proud to announce that six Liberty students were selected to participate. These students will perform with the Honor Band on February 28th at Redwood High School. This is a tremendous achievement, and we are incredibly proud of their hard work and dedication. Congratulations to Sophie Salinas, Antonio Menjivar, Joelle Geldore, Sophia Calderon Yanez, Nickolaz Vazquez, and Theodore Hubilia.
