She’s always ready to offer tech support to both staff and students on campus, while also providing a safe, welcoming space where students can read or hang out with friends. This week in class, our 8th grade students had an exciting hands on science lab where they explored how energy travels as mechanical waves. They investigated how energy transfers through different materials and how changes in energy can affect the shape of a wave. From increasing amplitude to observing faster frequencies, they learned the cool science behind wave behavior. The class also dove into the differences between Transverse Waves and Longitudinal Waves. Students got to see how energy moves in different directions and how it impacts the world around us. It was an amazing learning experience, and the students had a blast experimenting and discovering the power of waves.
