Chromebook returns will take place next week during 9th period classes. 8th Grade - Thursday, May 21; 7th Grade - Friday, May 22. Students who are still completing state testing will keep their devices and return them as soon as their testing is finished.
Please ensure your student has their Chromebook, protective case, and charger ready for submission.
As a reminder, all outstanding debts must be cleared for students to participate in the 8th grade promotion ceremony. This includes the return of books, Chromebooks, athletic uniforms, band uniforms, musical instruments, and any other district-owned property.

Visit our Liberty cafeteria to see our latest art project focused on the principle of Unity. Students created collages using various papers and subjects. To unify their designs, they applied a range of values using colored pencils, markers, graphite, ink, and paint, switching mediums wherever their subject intersected a new paper. These projects turned out amazing!
Our students are currently developing portraits of a selected person, focusing on at least five distinct values and complex color mixtures. This will be their final project and we are excited to see what they come up with.
Thank you to our art teachers, Mr. Rocker and Mrs. Meagher, for their dedication and support. Its been so amazing to see all the projects and new skills our students have learned.

Thank you to the all the parents and guardians who were able to join us this morning to celebrate our Students of the Month.
These outstanding students consistently demonstrate the core values of Patriot PRIDE: Prepared, Respectful, Integrity, Dependable, and Effort. We are incredibly proud of their hard work and the positive examples they set for our school community.

Our Liberty front office will be closing early on Monday, May 11th. The office will be closed immediately following the end of the school day to allow our team to attend a staff appreciation event.
We apologize for the inconvenience. Normal office hours will resume on Tuesday.

Today is School Nurse Day. We would like to recognize our amazing Liberty nurses, Nurse Serna and Nurse Moench. We honor the incredible work they do to keep our students safe and healthy every single day. Whether they are building meaningful relationships with our students, ensuring medical needs are met during sports and field trips, or supporting other sites across the LUESD district, their dedication is unmatched. They are vital members of both the Liberty team and the entire district community. Thank you for your care, your expertise, and your commitment to our students.

We are currently seeking donations of RED graduation gowns to support our future promoting 8th graders. Your generosity helps ensure that every student can participate in their promotion ceremony with PRIDE.
Donate your Red Promotion Gown at the Liberty Front Office during regular office hours Mondays through Fridays: 7:30am to 4:00pm
Your donation makes a direct impact on our students and their families. We greatly appreciate your continued support! Please share. Thank you.

Last Friday, our 7th graders visited Lemoore College to discover the wealth of opportunities available at our local community college.
Students toured various departments, gaining insight into high demand career paths and academic programs, including Agriculture, Engineering, Medical, Health Sciences, Math and Technical Programs as well as the Comprehensive Student Support Services.
This visit was about more than just a campus tour; it was about giving our students the chance to see tangible possibilities for their futures.

CAASPP State testing continues this week at Liberty Middle School. Our 8th grade students are wrapping up the ELA portion and will transition into Math testing.
Additionally, 7th graders will begin their ELA assessments tomorrow, Tuesday, May 5th.
To ensure a smooth testing experience, please make sure your student brings a fully charged Chromebook to school every day. Thank you for your support in helping our students do their best. Good luck, Patriots.

Friday, May 1st, was School Lunch Hero Day, and we'd like to honor our amazing Liberty child nutrition team. From providing nutritious meals to creating a safe, joyful space for our kids to recharge, they do it all with a smile.
Liberty wouldn't be the same without you! Thank you for all you do.

Last week, we took the time to celebrate Administrative Professionals Week and recognize the incredible individuals who keep our school running smoothly. Our office staff serves as the heart of our campus, ensuring a professional and welcoming environment for every student, parent, and visitor who walks through our doors.
We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to:
Mrs. Roehlk
Mrs. Tarkington
Mrs. Mendoza
Their dedication to "doing what is best for kids" is evident in everything they do. Whether they are managing daily operations, assisting families, or supporting our staff, their hard work and positive attitudes make a lasting impact on our school community.
8th graders took home the Shamrock Cup! It was a competitive series of matches
Match 1:8th Grade (15) def. 7th Grade (9)
Match 2:7th Grade (15) def. 8th Grade (9)
Match 3: 8th Grade (25) def. 7th Grade (13)
With two match wins out of three, the 8th graders secured their victory. Great job to all the students who participated and showed their school spirit.

The doors of our campus have been transformed as we prepare for CAASPP state testing starting next week. To support and encourage our students, advisory classes across the entire school took part in a door decorating challenge focused on motivation and perseverance.
This contest reached far beyond the traditional testing subjects of ELA, Math, and Science. Every classroom participated, creating a unified campus that emphasizes community and collective encouragement. We are proud of the effort students and staff put in to make sure every student feels supported as they head into testing week.

The partnership between our staff, students, and neighbors is what makes our school community so special. A thank you to Mrs Oquinn and Mr Zellous for capturing some pictures from last night. A reminder that these photos are for personal noncommercial use only.
