The After School Education and Safety (ASES) Program provides FREE supervised activities until 6:00 PM for students at the elementary schools, every day that school is in session during the regular school year.  The after school program commences immediately upon the conclusion of the regular school day. The program is coordinated across all of the elementary campuses and provides a fun, safe, stimulating environment for students! Studies show that participation in an afterschool program increases students’ attachment to their schools, improves test scores, and keeps kids out of trouble.

Responding to the needs of our families, Lemoore Union Elementary School District has partnered with the California Teaching Fellows Foundation to provide an after school program at our five elementary school sites.  Offering this program is part of the District's commitment to providing a safe environment and enriching the school experience for our students while enabling schools to continue a focus on their academic mission. If you are interested in reviewing the evaluation results of the afterschool program, please contact the district office for additional information.

Activities vary by school, but each program includes these components:

HOMEWORK ASSISTANCE: Students have the opportunity to complete their homework, with supervision and assistance from teachers and trained staff.

ENRICHMENT ACTIVITIES: Some schools offer art, robotics, dance, and/or crafts, but all sites have fun classes and activities designed to explore learning opportunities that may not be available during the school day.

PHYSICAL FITNESS: Every school has a fitness program component where all students participating in the program will engage in outdoor recreational activities including sports, games and exercise.

SOCIAL ACTIVITIES: Each site program is staffed by trained personnel who relate well to students. Through directed activities, the staff provides a safe, fun, and enriching social environment.

The deadline to register for the After School Program for the 2023-2024 school year is June 30, 2023.  The program is scheduled to begin on the first day of school in August.  After the deadline, registrations will continue to be accepted but enrollment is subject to space availability and a later start date.

Every year families will need to reapply for the After School Program.  Your child will be part of a selection process for admission into the After School Program. Due to the limited number of available seats, not all applicants will be admitted into the program.

After School Program Registration

Applications for the afterschool program are provided at the end of spring of the preceding year and may continue through the summer if spaces remain available. For the 2023-2024 school year, there is space is still available at each of the five elementary school sites .

Parents may pick up an application from their child's school between the hours of 1:30pm and 6:00pm. Students who are unable to get into the program immediately will be placed on a waitlist. As space becomes available throughout the year, a staff member from the ASES program will contact parents in the order of the student placement on the list.
