We got to celebrate our Winter Spirts teams this morning: Cheerleading and our Basketball teams. So proud of all their hard work and sportsmanship!




Our last sport season: Baseball Softball Season.
All Girls Home Games will be played at the Lemoore Sports Complex. Please note that some away games might charge an extra fee.

Next Friday, March 18, is a teacher workshop day. Students will have no school that day.
School resumes on Monday, March 21, as we continue interim state testing.

Congratulations to the Winter Guard and Winter Percussion, who competed in the SVWAA Competition at Sierra Pacific High School this last Saturday, March 5. Both groups finished first place in their divisions: Guard Junior High Scholastic Open and Percussion Junior High Scholastic A. What a great start to Music in March competition season.


The Kings County Spelling Bee was today, March 4. Though it was not the typical in person spelling bee, our Liberty Middle School spelling bee candidates were resilient.
Our very own, Acanaan Smith, placed 3rd overall for 8th graders. We are so proud of his accomplishment!

Congratulations to our February Students of the Month. These amazing students display respect every day with their classmates, friends, and staff. We are so proud of them and are glad to have them represent Liberty.

We start our softball and baseball tryouts afterschool tomorrow, March 1, until 5pm.
Tryouts are scheduled for March 1, 2, and 3. Students need a completed permission slip in order to tryout. Forms are available in the front office or media center. Coaches will collect forms at the beginning of the tryouts.
Students should be dressed in athletic gear or their PE clothes.
Just a reminder, Liberty Band Pictures are tomorrow, March 1. Optional individual and/or buddy pictures are from 7:00am to 7:45am. Students are encouraged to wear their marching band uniform or colorguard uniform, and also recommended to take their photo with their instrument or flag.
The Band department photo will take place during 1st period, from 8:05am to 8:47am. Band/Choir Students should be completely dressed in their NEW Blue Music Shirt, Blue Jeans (No Holes Please), and dark Shoes. Color Guard Students should be in their full winter guard uniform prior to 1st period.

Congratulations to our Liberty Middle School Boys basketball team. They took 1st place at the SAL tournament today against Sutter, Fowler. They ended the season with a 14-1 winning season. We are so proud of our Patriots and Coach Keel.

The Liberty Jazz Band had the honor of performing at the 33rd annual San Joaquin Valley jazz festival held at Buchanan High School today. They were one of 27 middle school and high school groups from around the Central Valley performing at the event.
They performed on Buchanan high school‘s new outdoor stage for a wonderful audience and were able to receive professional feedback from collegiate music professors.
Three of our very own students received outstanding soloist awards. Brenna Hull On alto sax, Aiden Delk on electric guitar, and Eli Cabigao on vibraphone. Congratulations.

We are so thankful for Coach Kelsi and Coach Latte for bringing cheerleading back to Liberty. They cheered their last basketball home game today, 2/17. We can't wait for more cheer next year.
