This week is National School Psychology Week, and this year’s theme is “Power of Possibility.” The word “possibility” implies hope, growth, resilience, and renewal. On Monday, November 2nd all Liberty Middle School and University Charter School students who selected In-Person instruction will return to campus. All students returning must have completed the Parent/Guardian Daily COVID-19 Health Screening Document and the Student Required Entry Form Document. These must be reviewed and verified through Aeries Parent Portal or signed and brought with your child on the first day of school. As we prepare for our ability to reopen to in person instruction, we would like to encourage all families and all students to take advantage of the free flu shot clinic being offered by the Kings County Department of Public Health. There will also be free COVID-19 testing available at these locations as well. Please note that COVID-19 testing or the flu shot are not currently required for students and families, but when we return to in person instruction it will be very important to reduce our flu illnesses as the symptoms are similar to COVID-19 and result in lengthy quarantines from school. Mientras nos preparamos para regresar a la instrucción en persona, nos gustaría alentar a todas las familias y a todos los estudiantes a aprovechar la clínica gratuita de vacunación contra la gripe que ofrece el Departamento de Salud Pública del Condado Kings. También habrá pruebas de COVID-19 gratuitas disponibles en estos lugares.
